Speaking of Unsessionable, Rev Brewing's "new Imperial IPA and slightly tougher cousin to last fall's Unsessionable IPA" 1ZENUFF will be released on May 20. Looking forward to trying this one.

Another huge IPA knocking you out with a four-hop blend of Apollo, Centennial, Crystal, and Chinook hops. This imperial IPA clocks in at 100 IBUs and 11% ABV, making it just a bit bigger than last fall's Unsessionable, and certainly the kind of beer that you'll need just one of. Toasted malt flavors lurking behind massive levels of hop bitterness and flavor with a punch of of hop aroma reminiscent of fresh citrus rind.

I agree. I was just going off the 3F's verbiage they place on the bottle .....

"The wolf inside this pale ale is trying to walk upright. This bright and aromatic beer was brewed with our friends in the band Pig Destroyer."

Nice job compiling this. I started to do a similar list, then got busy. That's a world-class list of IPA's/DIPA's.

Last time I checked Lagunitas was making some damn good IPAs right in Chicago too!

Ah gotcha, yeah FFF seems to think everything with hops is a pale ale.

Haven't had anything from spiteful but I will have to try.

What do you guys think of Only Child Brewing? They're going to set up shop in Gurnee this summer.

I had playtime never end, and it was alright for a double IPA. Very sweet/malty. I also had spoiled brat (oatmeal stout) and was unimpressed. Milky Way Princess was probably my favorite of the 3 I've had by them (lactose IPA), it was tasty but over carbed. They have some potential, just need more consistency.

I had their Gose and I thought it was good. It would be cool to have a good brewery in Lake County. I see Tighthead as more of a introductory brewery. I was unimpressed by Zumbier and I don't consider Small Town Brewing beer

Buy a cooler and fill with ice. By a six pack of Bells Two Hearted Ale and put in the cooler. Drive from Michigan to Illinois. Drink the Two Hearted Ale. Say a quiet prayer of thanks to Larry Bell, and drive back to Michigan. Nothing in Ilinois comes close, except for the recent California import (Lagunitas). FIB.

Lol Bells is nice but you're missing out on a lot of great brews if that's how you feel.

What is your guys' favorite Chicago Brewery? I'd have to say Pipeworks can give any brewery in the country a run for their money.

Larry Bell lives in Chicago so that prayer should be to a Chicagoan!
