Yes, Sculpin is an IPA. And I understood this question as single IPA's, not double.

    Mine would be
Bells Two Hearted (currently drinking a 4/19/12 batch. Wow, it's amazing)
    Ballast Point Sculpin
    Firestone Walker Union Jack
    Founders Centennial

Picking 3 is hard, so I had to go for 4.

I wish I had access to the brands that you good people do. Alas I live in a whirlpool of mediocrity.

IPA's= Flower Power, Blind Big, Furious

Close- Two Hearted, Caldera, Duet, Finest Kind

Throw in doubles then any of the Alpines, Pliny, HT
Not sure why they call ZD an APA, it doesn't even closely resemble one, hell it would stand with any IPA on the earth.

Surprised no one has thrown Racer 5 out there...still one of the best single IPAs out there IMO. But I will take Two-Hearted all day, every day as my number 1

Yes, I sometimes yearn for a list like that. I often imagine it would look like:

    Ah well, I can dream, can't I?

I know its not classified as an ipa but its tastes like an ipa so I'm going with zombie dust, white rajah and two hearted.

My favorite three ‘regular’ IPAs are: Bells Two Hearted, Firestone Walker Union Jack and Ithaca Flower Power.

I do enjoy Sculpin when it is in ‘good shape’. Out of a half dozen tries this was only once; but that one time was glorious!

    Cheers!

This thread got me to wondering, so I went and looked at the list. There are 2,821 IPA's listed here. 2,601 of them are rated at 3 or higher. Are we supposed to believe that there are only 220 below average IPA's being (or having been) made? Apparently American brewers are so awesome that they are statistically incapable of making bad IPAs.
