Bent Paddle's new Lager, Roof Rack, is pretty damn delicious.

I tried Merica, and Surly Lager at Surlyfest on Sat. Both were fantastic pale lagers. Surly Lager was dry, crisp, hoppy, and very simple. At 4.7 percent it's what light beer could/should be. Merica was just plain delicious. Surprisingly hoppy, full bodied, and only 5 percent abv. Too bad we can't get growlers from them.

It's a shame we can't get a growler from them. It's a goddamn embarrassment that we can't get a growler from them BUT we can get a growler of their beer from a neighboring state. Lock it up, Minnesota.

Surly Lager is set to be a series with rotating hop selections. I agree the first one is delicious.
