    Elementary Porter by Three Brothers! The head creation is probably the best of any porter/stout of the hundreds I've had. You have to pour REAL slow and very tilted glass and still get more head than body (and the nice tan/brown tight tiny bubbles as well that everyone likes).

    Taste is pretty awesome too for a standard porter.

    Some of the beers I've seen in this thread look like the stuff I drain out of a rusty tank , whatever else they may be, good looking they are not.

    Hot Lil Miami Tart from Stone/J Wakefield. also one of my favorite beers of all time! i'd kill to get more...or the recipe.

    Ha! Those are probably just a case of the appearance's bring to mind the smell and taste of certain beers. If you didn't have that preconceived notion built-in, you are probably right about how they come across based solely on looks.
