I am in need of a variety pack and am wondering what everyone's opinion is because I'm indecisive.

What, in stores now, is the best taste / value in your opinion in Michigan?

Short's 7.0 is pretty awesome (not a big fan of the Chai) with 3/4 being very good.

I came here to say Short's too. Even better price if you can get it at your local Costco like mine.

I appreciate Short's not throwing one of their flagship beers in every variety pack(I'm lookin at you Sam Adams)
It's always 4 new beers I've never tried before. Short's winter pack is the way to go if you can find one

I personally liked the fall shorts sampler better than the winter one if you can still find that one

you can never go wrong with a short's variety pack. it doesn't matter what season it is, in my opinion

If you like maltier beers, then you could consider Arcadia's winter pack. It has their Scotch Ale (the pack is almost worth it just for that one), Brown Ale, and IPA. You might also consider that pack plus buying a 6-pack of the London Porter and switching out some of the others so that you end up with a 3 each of 4 different kinds. That would make it a very good choice, plus you have some leftovers.

    Version 6.0 was definitely solid!

I have still seen quite a few places that had the 6.0 pack.

You need a MI brewed 12'er or a 12'er you can find in MI? I can't say anything more than anyone above about the first point but if it's the second, I'd throw down a Sierra Nevada Snowpack in a heartbeat.

I totally agree on the Shorts Fall Variety pack (6.0) if you can find it The one with the Dan's Pink Skirt. I bought the last one at Busch's a week ago and it is excellent. I have the winter pack also, but have not opened it yet. Should be good.

If it was earlier in the year, I would say Dark Horse Crooked tree variety pack...To ME, there is no better 12 pack in our state..But they are old now...So I would say the shorts, even though im not a fan of version 7.0

I bought one both years. I drink Crooked Tree fairly often. And I swear something was wrong with almost every bottle. The first year it came out, I was in heaven. This year, I had a hard time drinking it. I'm hoping it was just my pack because I love the idea.

What I take from this thread? Got to see if I can find a Short's variety pack when I am up north next time.

That'd be my answer too. Dark Horse, in season, would be a no-brainer.

Not many MI 12ers make it to IN, but my favorites are Founders Centennial and the Dark Horse IPA variety pack.
