Just bought Great Lakes variety 12pack..dortmunder gold, Elliot ness, Edmund fitz, burning river. All great beers. Pondering.. What are some of the best bang for your buck variety 12packs out there in your area? G.L. Was about 13bucks in Buffalo.

That reminds me of the Goose Island variety pack that included 312, Honker's Ale, IPA and Nut Brown Ale. It turned into a seasonal 12 pack that moved the Nut Brown Ale to a seasonal. Now it's brewed in Fort Collins, CO, and Baldwinsville, NY. I've now lost interest. The times just keep on changing; so, I've heard.

I've only had one of the four beers in Sierra Nevada's 4-Way IPA variety pack, but it looks like an awesome 12-pack.

Can't think of a good one except New Belgium's when 2 below, rampant, fat tire and ranger were together not much , only other one in a small way was Dundee's which I don't buy anymore.

I don't know if it comes as a 12 pack, but I recently bought a Sam Adams Hop Anthology case that I think is pretty damn good. I'm not always the biggest Sam Adams fan but it comes with 6 quality beers in it. Roggen Wolf is delightful.

Enjoying the Hell out of 'Taste of Victory' 12pks and always enjoy the concept and most of the beers from Sierra Nevada's Beer Camp. With that said, when Sierra Nevada drops Beer Camp Across America I can tell you I am going to be drinking a wholeeeee lottta that!

I forgot that one; there has been 12 packs. I really liked the Sam Adams Hopology 12-pack I bought a couple of years ago. Latitude, Dark Depths (Baltic PorterxIPA), and I think 2 others I'm forgetting.

Victory is easily my top choice for the past year, in its current format, followed by current Boulevard 12 and New Belgium from a few years ago, when it had Fat Tire, 1554, Tripel, and a seasonal that was not memorable. Southern Tier last year was also good, but a notch back. Plenty of others that are drinkable, but not on the same level. Can't recall if the mixed New Glarus case I bought 7 years ago came that way or if I simply put four 6-packs together. Dundee, Long Trail, Widmer Bros, Red Hook and Magic Hat I would never buy again (I didn't buy MH, but drank a good portion of the case)--LT and MH because they were awful (two of each selection were just bad), but the other two because one can do better in the same price range. If I saw Stone 12 at $20 or under, I would grab it. Otherwise, it's a bit pricy.

SNs 4way IPA that just came out, and Highland's Medley. Also Sam Adam's Winter pack of '11. I used to drink a lot of Sweetwater tackleboxes but havent had one in a year or so.

That Brooklyn Lager is my go to beer at a local watering hole. The Pilsner is solid too.
