For some of those, the pairing of the two breweries is as interesting as the beer! :astonished:

I do wish they would make some of them available for those who cannot attend the event (like me).

My favorites are Indeed's Mexican Honey, and Summit's Oktoberfest (which is just starting to hit shelves!), Maibock, and Keller Pils. Tanzenwald down in Northfield has a great pilsner in rotation as well, and Castle Danger's Cream Ale tastes lager-y enough to scratch that itch.

Agreed! Indeed and Schell is equally exciting with a Landbier. Would be nice to drink these in a non-festival environment.

Oh! Bauhaus' Wagon Party is also fantastic. Forgot to mention that one.

I actually have the lowest rating on it at 3.6 (which translates to about a 4.1 among the more generous raters here at BA), and I have a lot of appreciation for that beer. The Bayesian weighting is dragging it down quite a bit (from a 4.06 mean to a 3.78 score).

Reading this just made my day. Had it at the taproom last year and loved it.

Finally! Someone on BA with taste!

But, in all seriousness, this and the Festbier are incredible...also their regular pils.

I really liked Schell's Helles last night at Minnesota United FC match. It might be their best lager beer.

Utepils has a Keller Pils on, its pretty decent, not on the same level as Fair State or Summit, but worth a trip and growler fill.

You know what....Kato from Mankato Brewing is a real nice Helles Lager. I liked it before and just had it out of their new cans pretty fresh and this really is pretty spot on for style.

Schells Bock and Brau Brothers Illbock are my favorites. I really enjoyed the herd of bocks 12 pack schells did a few years ago. I find Minnesota to be lacking with lagers I like which leads me to road trips to Wisconsin. I am drinking a Lazy Monk Bohemian Dark Lager as I type this. Thou looking at the responds In this thread I see a few I want to try out that I haven't had. Anybody try the new (?) Yoerg Bock or soon to be out Strong double bock ?

I would agree with most listed here already.

Lager season is in full swing! Just hit up Venn for Simcoe Keller Pils, plus Wooden Hill and Unmapped for outstanding Pilsners.

Venn Simcoe Keller is quite good. Schells citra Blanc is also great.
