Now there is the whole point of a mystery 6 pack! Imagine everyone given to you in a glass without you knowing what it is. Just drink and enjoy!

Would be great if there is a way for the store to 'wrap' the bottle (and the cap) up so you don't know what your opening, but then you can remove after tasting. Takes away expectations or preconceived notions.

True, now that I think about it, it could have been a lot worse. I will get another bag soon and compare. I guess I was 'hop'ing for some more IPAs, at least some with greater ABV but hey beggers can't be choosers especially when your brown baggin' it lol

There is nothing wrong with that six back but they aren't doing you any favors.
For $11 you could have made your own six pack of exactly what you wanted.
You should get a discount for the "mystery"

If the store manager had a sense humor he would throw in random bottles of Natty Boh, or maybe Genesee...

Beer Cozy's would do the trick! Just need to cover the bottle cap!

Yeah, I don't think I would do that. I'm too risk averse. I'm sure they were all good beers but you probably couldn't gotten a six pack of any of them for $8.99... or less. My bottle store has a make-your-own six pack shelf for $8.99 and he puts some good stuff up there that if I were to buy in 4 or 6 packs could easily be $11 or more so it's a great bargain, his rationale is that he wants people to try the good stuff then they'll come back and buy the 4 or 6 packs at the regular price. Now, it's not all the higher end stuff, but he puts just enough of the imperials out to make it interesting.

Yessss! if I had a store and a customer base i could sorta mess with, I would put a natty/busch light in some of those 6 packs. but make up for it with the other 5. They open a FW Double jack, then a GI Matilda, followed by a Founders Imperial Stout, then a can of natty.

Never take the beer out of the wrapping, even after you have finished it. That way it will always be a mystery beer!

I got a mystery six pack when I was in Florida earlier last year, opened it and it was just a sixer of Jai Alai. Those folks know whats up. I was impressed.

A big place by me does mystery 24 bottle cases for $18. Usually a good selection too, got FIS, Backwoods, etc before

I wouldn't mind getting something like this as long as they aren't overcharging and the beers are fresh. Maybe you will get something good that you otherwise wouldn't have tried.
