It used to be smaller. At one point it didn't have the space directly opposite the cooler.

My apologies if I give you a bad vibe, it certainly isn't my intention. I probably won't be able to assuage your concerns, but we do first come first served on the limited release stuff we get. Most allocations of limited release items are based on volume of sales of the brand. We are the lowest volume store in NoVA(across the board, not just in beer) by a substantial margin. We miss out on a lot of stuff. I won't bore you with all the details, but I get my most demanded deliveries on Thursdays, and no matter when I place the order, the vendor won't pull it from inventory until Wednesday night. So even things that aren't allocated(like Stone releases this year), we will miss out on those as well.

I will definitely concede to being vague. It is frustrating, but purposeful, we were burned really badly on Backwood's Bastard this year. We were told by the distributor on 2 separate occasions that it was coming, which we relayed to customers. We ended up not getting any and upsetting a lot of people. We weren't comfortable going forward telling folks things were coming when there is a chance of it not showing up. If we know, we will tell you when we are expecting something, but not that we are absolutely getting it. Lastly, in all likelihood if you don't speak to Kitrick or I, whomever you're speaking to isn't going to have any idea. Even if I put it on a board right in front of them.

Have you ever considered putting the limited beers that you do have on a small dry erase/chalk board that is visible to customers? I know you have limited space in the store but that is something I think most people would appreciate.

We try and keep a bottle on top of the cheese counter on where the taps are(as an example, Rye On Rye, Apex, BA Sidamo and North Coast Grand Cru are there currently). But, we need to be more consistent with it. We will work on that.

As to Facebook or Twitter, I don't think BA would appreciate me posting the link in a thread, so I will message you both the Facebook link shortly.

Thanks for the feedback, as I said, we will try and do a better job going forward.
