So I was drinking O'Connor's new oyster stout, Bold Man, tonight, and I thought, hey, I really like these stouts. Another good example that comes to mind is Flying Dog's Pearl Necklace. It's odd, because I don't like oysters.

What are your favorite oyster stouts?

I really liked 21st Amendment's Marooned on Hog Island, but it's the only oyster stout I've had, so I couldn't really say how it stacks up. Also, it's apparently (unfortunately) retired.

I liked Flying Fish Exit 1. I thought it had more oyster presence than Pearl Necklace.

Those are the only two I've had.

I agree with the aforementioned Flying Fish Exit 1 and Pearl Necklace. Both were excellent !!

One of my favorite bars in DC has Oyster Stout as their least expensive beer; needless to say, I am a big fan.

3 Guys & a Beer'd Low Tide Oyster Stout. As far as I know it's only brewed for Cooper's Seafood in Scranton, PA (and maybe Pittston, PA too), may be available in limited quantities at their brewery, but it's EXTREMELY good. If you're ever in that area, you need to try it.

Pipeworks the Walrus & the Carpenter was fantastic! Amazing mouth feel and a slight brine taste that worked well with the chocolatiness of the beer.

Holy city has a bowmans island oyster stout which is great and at the brewery they have a barrel aged one which is out of this world. I know it's not "known" but it's one of my favorite oyster stouts.
