Shouldn't this be in the regional forum since the question is region specific?

Nothing fancy but you can never go wrong with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It's simply a classic.

    2. Any APA from Hill Farmstead, I've had 4 and they are all world class.

Being in New England, Long Trail Pale Ale is very accessible. Better than their IPA. Its perfectly hopped I think. It gives you the hop bite you want in a pale ale but not the hop level of a good IPA.

Great Lakes Burning River is a great example of a traditional pale ale.. I'd also recommend Southern Tier Live, which is a new one, but just tried it the other day and really liked it..

As for seasonals- don't pass up Anchor Humming Ale when July comes around, a great use of the very fruity Nelson Sauvin hops, and best when at its freshest.
