My wife and I are heading up to Philly and plan to carve out some time to swing by a brewery or two tomorrow then again on Saturday. My initial plan just centered on hitting Tired Hands tomorrow, but I realized I don't know the scene there very well so I just thought I'd ask.

The gist for us is that we are coming from DC so don't really want to run north too far if possible. Our hotel is by city hall so that'll be where we need to get. The place doesn't need to have food and a brewery tour isn't necessary either. Really just looking to drink some good beers we can't get around DC/NOVA.

Random question... I remember hearing that Half Acre is sometimes available in Philly. Is that true? If so, any ideas where Daisy Cutter might be (cans or tap)? Love that beer and haven't had it since I left Chicago a few years back.

Thanks a ton for any help at all!

Definitely Monk's Cafe. Less than a mile from City Hall. Local44 is another beer bar & bottle shop that is solid.

Be sure to track down Neshaminy Creek beers. Shape of Hops to Come is excellent. Their last canning run for the year for this was Nov 27 so may be tough to find but worth it. A Good Problem to Have DIPA was brewery only cans but may be able to find on tap somewhere.

Be sure to also utilize Philly TapFinder. Excellent website resource to use to help track down specific beers and spots you may be looking for/ wondering about.

Also, this will help you track down the Half Acre you are looking for... http://www.phillytapfinder.com/brewery/half-acre/

    Here's the link to PhillyTapFinder.

That and a map will be all you need. The big problem is you'll want to go to more places than you have time and stamina for so just relax, enjoy, and explore.

You may already know this but Tired Hands will be offering a bunch of vintage bottles on NYE, so check their social media for details and it may be worth prioritizing.
