hey guys, I did a quick search on here and couldn't find another post like this. I ship at least once a week and lately have been sending more than receiving (I proxy a lot) and have been buying packing supplies from FedEx, which is expensive as balls.

I get boxes from my local bottle shop, but need peanuts and bubble wrap. whats the best/cheapest place to buy these things?!

    Cheers
    Ryan

I use Scotch Cushion Wrap. Reasonably priced and the roll is perforated every foot or so to make it easy to tear off sections to use when packing.

Walmart or Home Depot. $15 for a large roll of bubble wrap. 15X15 boxes for a little over a dollar. If you know anyone that does lighting, ask them for the packing material that bulbs come in. You can score some great airpaks.

They sell 6 and 12-bottle shippers as well as other packing material.

Most grocery stores recycle their styro peanuts (especially those 'green' stores here in the PNW )

Just stop by your local Whole Foods or New Seasons and ask them if you could have their peanuts. Just don't go to my store

No good leads on free bubble wrap though

Don't buy it, if you have friends who work in retail and or other businesses that toss bubble wrap in the trash every day. Ask around and your can likely have someone collect some from their work place. And after that, save it and reuse it.

Bubble wrap, tape and garbage bags from Costco

Beer boxes or whatever for inner box - pack in a trash bag.

14x14x14 boxes from Walmart $.68 - outer box

Pad inner box with newspaper or whatever

Always check Craigslist. Tons of peanuts, boxes, and foam being given away daily.
