Cain't 'member exactly which Volume it was, but Left Hand put out a peppery spiced Fade to Black Porter that was very, very delicious.

I love porters almost as much as I love stouts. For an english porter, Fullers London Porter(of course). For American style, Odell Cut Throat, Schlafly Porter, and Founders. For a coffee porter, Kona Pipeline.

C'mon, we all know Smuttynose Robust Porter is the winner by a, well, nose. Seriously, it's my favorite among all those great ones already mentioned. Rich, thick, and complex, I really do think it holds its own with Founders, Eddie Fitz, Black Butts, and the others. (Never had HF). Smutty's Baltic Porter is on another level, but also fantastic.

I don't care for most porters, but I thought Victory at Sea and Everett were both fantastic.

Black butte is certainly one of my favorites. Also try to get a FW Reserve Porter.

Put me down with the folks who said Eddie Fitz and Smuttynose Robust Porter. Two widely available and delicious beers. I hear that uinta makes a fantastic baltic porter - sea legs I think it's called. Haven't had it though.

Mayflower Porter was my favorite and then I tried Edmund Fitzgerald. They were both phenomenal, so I put them to the test. My friend and I did a blind tasting of Edmund Fitz, Mayflower Porter and we threw in Black Butte. Edmund Fitz came out #1 for both of us.

If you can score Mayflower though, you need to do it, it's amazing.

Berkshire Drayman's Porter- seriously underrated porter
Geary's Porter, and a long lost wave to Catamount Porter, last seen back in the 90s, one of the best porters out of New England.
