Heretic Shallow Grave Porter is a really nice beer. Jamil knows what's up!

Like everyone else has said I would have to go with Founder's Porter and Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. Both are amazing and yet distinctly different. Edmund Fitzgerald was the beer that got me into American craft beer.

For Non-barrel aged beers, my favorite that I can get somewhat regularly is Evil Twin - Lil B

Victory at Sea. Had it for the first time recently while camping at Mt. Rainier. Blew my mind and I don't even like coffee.

I can't believe that this was the only mention of Fuller's London Porter, one of the best on Earth and pretty readily available in most states.

But as far as coffee porter, I would have to go with Berkshire Brewing Coffeehouse Porter. I always grab that on trips back to New England.

Victory at Sea is probably the best porter I've tried. Lots of chocolate and coffee its basically an imperial stout. I brewed a neopolitan porter a while back but all I got was strawberries with a hint of chocolate. I think Ill try again.

Edmund Fitzgerald, Black Butte, and Founders Porter are some great examples with nice availability. Many others have been mentioned here as well. But if I were to give a list to someone, those would likely be the first 3 I'd mention.

Edmund Fitzgerald is nice, as is Black Butte,... which I had the other night for the first time in quite awhile. Last night I revisited another "classic" Anchor Porter.

+1 to Drayman's Porter. I would also recommend Smuttynose Robust Porter.

Sn Porter is my go to. The best is too subjective. Founder porter was mightly tasty on draft, i cannot wait to see if its as good in bottle/can. Not sure what they will send us here in Florida.

Twilight of the idols, hands down, the best porter I have ever had. My go to however is odell cut throat porter. Its amazing, and so under rated you should have no problems getting your hands on it. Twilight of the idols however may be a tad more difficult.
