    Fullers London Porter was brilliant on tap in London (Churchill Arms).

    You're right, it is fantastic. But idk if I would consider Baltic Porter a porter at all given it's actually a lager style beer. Just my opinion though.

    For good measure - Narragansett Porter is silky smooth goodness - one of my favorites. I'd take it over even Founders.

    But my hands down best is Smuttynose's Baltic Porter from their Big Beer Series!

    Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter is definitely my favorite. Great taste, creamy, good balance between sweet and bitter. I believe it is distributed in New York.

    I'm going to have to try the Smutty.

    North Carolina has some great porters - despite being a warm weather state:

    Duck Rabbit Porter
    Highland - 2 different ones - Oatmeal Porter and Thunderstruck Coffee Porter
    NoDa Coco Loco - my local go-to - had it on nitro last night and it was amazing.
    Foothills People's Porter
    LoneRider Deadeye Jack
    Green Man Porter

    Lots of great suggestions, thanks! I've had most of these, and agree that Meantime, Siera Nevada, and Fullers are awesome. I'm going to try to look for the Tallgrass on tap (I'm not ok with the BPA in cans), and haunt the local beer stores looking for the others. Maybe put together a mix six pack and have a tasting....

    If you are around Milwaukee or Madison and can get Great Lakes then definitely Edmund Fitzgerlad

    Great suggestions so far, so I'll just echo the masses and say Founders, Fullers London, Ed Fitz, Black Butte, Sam Smith Taddy, Smuttynose Robust, Ballast Point Victory at Sea & Black Marlin, and SN Porter is very solid.

    Can't go wrong with any of these. And hopefully one of these days I'll get to try Everett.
