Yes I went this past Thursday and the Bock was on draft. I wanted to drink more one-offs than stuff I've had in cans before, so had their Norse x Norsewest Nordic farmhouse collaboration brew with New Belgium. Seemed closer to a well-fruited Gose than a farmhouse to me, but YMMV.

In addition to the original Julian's on Broadway, the same owner operates Pizza J on Westminster only a few blocks from the W Fountain Street breweries mentioned above. Pizza J also tends to have a nice beer list, maybe slightly less eclectic and less bottle options than Julian's. My wife loves their gluten free pizza crust.

Nikki's Liquors on Branch Avenue in Providence has a large selection, and best of all has a whole row of singles. A few weeks ago on social media they posted a newly stocked shelf of RI single cans/bottles for purchase. They also have a vintage bottle area where there are nice surprises from time to time as far as BA stouts, Allagash, 3F etc.

No new recommendations for you, but I will throw in additional votes for Bayberry Beer Hall, Proclamation, and Tilted Barn, though BBH is the only one of those locations in Providence proper

I'll second this. This is a "take an Uber" plan generally for me. A beer or two each at Moniker and Beer On Earth, then dinner at Bayberry. Always a memorable time.

High Spirits and Nikki's liquors are close to one another in Providence. B and C liquors is my recommendation if you have a car and are willing to travel 10-15 minutes outside of Providence.

Unrelated to beer, but does Providence have a good Sushi place? Doesn’t matter to me if the place doesn’t serve good beer, just looking for good/better/best type sushi places to consider.

Or how about Asian Dumplings? Any good spots?

Den Den for Dumplings, but make sure you eat all of the fried chicken while you’re there.

Den den cafe asiana or den den Korean fried chicken? Menu is the same for both places. Looks like a mile or so from where I’ll be tomorrow (and I might need lunch)

Korean Fried chicken would be my pick, but it’s the same people so can’t go wrong. Don’t think the menu is exactly the same.

Nice! If I have time, that’s gonna be the pick. It’s been way too long since I’ve had a good dumpling (Vancouver, BC, Feb 2020)

Would grab a beer with you if I were in town, but headed to VT tomorrow. Hope you have a great day!

Hanging at Narragansett tomorrow to do a history of the place. Probably take a couple hours. Try to find a beer somewhere but if it’s between beer and dumplings, I’m going to go the latter.

Please try the Bock. Need an update on that stuff. Haven’t had it years.

Thanks for the recs everyone. Didn't have time to grab dumplings (bummer), but did get to swing by Monicker and grab a couple things.

    Gansett spot is beautiful, huh?

I'm also going to be in RI for a weekend, but prefer my beers on the heavier size. The tap list at Long Live looks fantastic. Any other recommendations in the same vein? Anyone with a good barrel aging program?

Some folks love Long Live. I'm not a fan of the stuff. You might take a look at Proclamation in Warwick for a more diverse array of offerings.

Ebisu in Providence or East Providence. Fantastic Japanese beer selection.

Since I got in BA "trouble" for linking to stories, I wrote a history of Narragansett on a site that rhymes with hood-deer-bunting. Check it out!
