Best pumpkin beers.

Agree with everyone on Schlafly. This was my introduction to craft beer a while back.

Just saw the Elysian Night Owl at store other day. Very curious......

Pretty sure I saw Blue Moon and a couple others.

 

If you like Schlafly you will love Steven's Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale. Some days I prefer Whole Hog, other days I prefer Schlafly. Need to try Good Gourd again to see how it stacks up to those.

 

My favorites are pumking (inc rum barrel), warlock, and interestingly I like Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale for a change of pace. I am looking forward to trying Avery Pum[KY]n and weyerbachers offering.

 

Haven't had many but, I enjoyed the Sam Adams Fat Jack

 

Smashed Pumpkin, but it's a big beer, not a beer for drinking while raking leaves.

Surprisingly enough I like the Harpoon UFO Pumpkin quite a bit. It may be my current every day favorite. Not sure why it gets no love.

 

Schlafly. For about $10 for a 6 pack you can't beat it.

 

I bought a Southern Tier Pumking last weekend, I drained it. too Sweet for me. My favorite is Fat Heads Spooky Tooth!!

 

I had a bottle of this and was underwhelmed. On tap, however, I found it to be exceptional as far as pumpkin beers go.

 

Midnight Sun Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter.

 

Dogfish Head Punkin or Elysian Night Owl.

I have not tried the Schlafly pumpkin brew yet but after reading this forum, i think i'll need to!

Wow, really surprised I haven't seen Wolaver's Pumpkin Ale (Otter Creek) more than once. If you haven't tried it yet, you won't be disappointed!

 

What did you like about Trick or Treat? Just looked it up and it sounds intriguing plus a local store has a case of it. On my list of pumpkins.

Hey guys I live in Cali and never really had a pumpkin ale any suggestions on some I can try that are available in so cal trying to look for the best. Seen Ballast point has one now called pumpkin down. There beers are usually very good anyone try it yet? Thanks for the input!

 

As I recall I liked that it was different. The different flavor a blended well together. It wasn't your typical pumpkin pie ale although it had its share of spices. I'd have to taste one right now to give you a definitive reason why I liked it so much. . Also it was the first drink my fiancé and I poured into our crystal wedding toast flutes. Didn't impact the taste. Would not recommend for future tasting enhancement.
