Not true at all. I've seen and purchased Jai Alai, Marshal Zhukov, Maduro, BA Big Sound, Florida Cracker, Puppy's Breath, and Invasion Pale Ale in PA. Just this week a buddy of mine bought a case of Jai Alai around here.

I believe I have commented on this thread earlier, but I tried New Belgium's Pumpkick last night and rather enjoyed it. Cranberry and pumpkin juice together worked for me. Who would of thought?

Good Gourd, Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, Alewerks Pumpkin Ale, Selinsgrove Brewing Pumpkin. You have to go to the brewpub for the Selinsgrove pumpkin, but my goodness is it ever worth it. On nitro and released during the town's Halloween parade.

just cracked a Schlafly pumpkin and i am liking this! i usually find pumpkin beers too full of spices and just plain offensive. this one is good, at 8% i hardly believe it

There happened to be an Anderson Valley tasting at my local supermarket today when I was buying groceries, and they had two pumpkin beers with them. I really enjoyed Fall Hornin'; it's easily one of the best "regular" pumpkin beers I've had (i.e. not a stout, not barrel aged, not combined with other adjuncts, just a regular ale with pumpkin and pie spices). Their bourbon barrel aged version, Peachy Jeek Barl, is also worth checking out, but is really sweet. I'm not sure I'd be able to finish off a whole bottle, though given how hit-or-miss Anderson Valley's barrel aging program is, the amount of bourbon sweetness in it was promising.

I'm gonna throw out one that goes under the radar a lot: Lakefront Pumpkin Lager. It's a 6% if I remember right, nicely spiced, and really drinkable. My fav is hands-down Elysian Night Owl for a straight ale, and either Upslope or Shipyard smashed for imperial (Upslope's ABV isn't quite up there to qualify as imperial, but it feels like one).

Fegley's and Saucony Creek Maple Mistress are the best I've had. Better than Schlafly and Pumking.

Haven't found CC Good Gourd at all yet this year, but that one is also up there with the greats.

I know there's a thing about not liking a Rogue beers around here. But their Pumpkin beer is delicious

I'm partial to Pumking but have also enjoyed Schlafly and Weyerbacher if memory serves. I'll try the local Heavy Seas version based on the comments here.

I absently picked up a Pumking 4-pack a couple weeks ago an didn't realize I'd paid $19.99 for it until I got home. I'm drinking one now and enjoying it...less and less as I try to finish it. Still horrified, embarrassed, and angry for what I paid. Crossed my mind to start an outrage thread but I'll leave it at this.

Another vote for Schlafly here. Pumking was my favorite until I tried Schlafly. Just picked up the first 6 pack of the season yesterday!

La Parcela, no contest. I can almost feel the pumpkin pulp in the sea of sour, gourdy goodness. Have yet to find another that has impressed me.

I feel robbed on the two 4 packs of Punkin ale I bought yesterday, it's awful this year... And by looking at the reviews I'm not alone.

Cisco's Pumple Drumkin has edged out Dogfish's Punkin as my favorite. Though fall is not fall without Punkin.

would the brewery put it somewhere on the label if they used lactose? I have been having some above average bowel moments the morning after a night of pumpkin beers
