Best Readily available IPAs

Have you asked your local craft beer shops what they recommend? The guys that work at my go to place always have great recommendations and they will know what's fresh and possibly new to their store. Good luck op and may you find the IPA

I'm from NJ and narrowed my list down over the past few years, before I moved. In terms of local options:

• Victory Dirtwolf
• Victory Hopdevil
• Carton 0 Dub
• Spellbound IPA (Newer to the scene, but a very solid local option)
• All Tired Hands everything (Truly worth however long the drive is)
• Neshaminy Creek The Shape of Hops To Come
• Neshaminy Creek Blitzkrieg Hops
• Vault Brewing Co IPAs (if you're from central NJ and don't mind picking up growlers in PA, they do an incredible Mosaic Imperial and a lot of citrusy IPA varieties around 6 or 7 percent)
• River Horse Hop-A-Lot-Amus (also do some nice cask variation of their regular IPA which isn't that great by itself)

Readily available, but not local:

• Bell's Two Hearted
• Dogfish 60 minute
• Great Lakes Chill Wave
• Firestone Walker Union Jack
• Bear Republic Racer 5
• Loose Cannon
• Founders Centennial
• Green Flash West Coast IPA
• Clown Shoes (there's a lot of good options there)
• Sierra Nevada Torpedo
• Sixpoint Resin or Hi-Res (if you like some sweeter/syrupy stuff)
• Brooklyn Brewery Brooklyn Blast
• Captain Lawrence IPA

There are definitely more, but I think that should be alright.

 

Sierra Nevada Torpedo is available just about everywhere and never disappoints.

Another ubiquitous hoppy brew is New Belgium's Ranger.

 

New Belgium Rampant is very under rated.........

 

I don't know if you can get Surly Furious but is is my top ranked IPA. AntiHero, Grapefruit Sculpin, and Fresh Squeezed are close seconds.

 

I wish there was a dislike button for this comment. I could drink Sculpin for the rest of my life and die a happy man.
Keep in mind that I live in the Pliny distribution area. I love Pliny, but Sculpin would do me for the rest of my final days.

 

Racer 5, the best day in and day out IPA and $13.99 a 12 pack at the local grocery store...Safeway

 

Agree with many of the suggested, and would add Green Flash Citra. Inexpensive and yummy.

 

It's not in TN unfortunately.

 

-Kane Head High should be available on draft at most bars.
-Carton 007XX is stored in the back and not on the shelves; you have to ask for it.

would also add Chillwave from great lakes. One of the best DIPAs out there.. in my opintion. It's seasonal, but seems readily available around this time of year.

 

Any chance Ska's Modus Hopperandi makes it over there?

 

Readily available in Indiana, Ohio, and Pittsburgh. That's it though.

 

in NJ you must find "Spellbound IPA" made in Mt Holly it is great

 

we get ithaca flower power pretty fresh that always a good choice, sixpoint bengali, torpedo, and grapefruit sclupin are pretty standard for me now

 

Smuttynose finest Kind and go find the new ruination double IPA, its fantastic

 

Nope, we also dont get jai alai, 2 hearted, anti hero, surly, or any new belgium. we get pretty good distro here, but none of those as some have suggested
