So I'm a recent convert on the subject of Reubens. I've got a hankering for one bad. Where's the best place in Madison to grab an excellent beer and an excellent Reuben?

The "most important" thread at another beer forum not worth mentioning by name is all about Reubens. I guess no one from SW WI posts there?

Cooper's: house-cured corned beef, lake louie scotch ale soaked kraut, swiss, and 1000 island on grilled black rye

You had to be converted to enjoy Reubens?

In Milwaukee grab a Reuben at Benjis and bring it over to Draft & Vessel to pair w some beers.

I was always negative towards kraut. I've learned.

The Vintage Brewing Company Reuben is very good and the beer selection is excellent.

If you make it down to New Glarus the Glarner Stube has an excellent Reuben that you can pair with alll of the NG beers they have on tap (I always have Scream when there). I usually make it a Red Reuben and substitute the kraut for red cabbage.

Just checking in to let everyone know how proud I am that nobody has suggested a trip to the Old Fashioned. #overrated

That sandwich at Cooper's sounds fantastic.
