I have one in my fridge right now. Some people scared me by saying it's a boozy mess or tastes like cough syrup. Figured I'd give it a few months and maybe it will calm down.

just had the shabadoo black and tan from Berkshire on rum barrels, and was really surprised and impressed by the complexity. its listed as retired, but on tap both at the brewery and at Amherst brewing near by. poke in and try it, its wholly unique.

Bell's Mr. Castries Vilnius Rum Barrel Aged Baltic Porter, nice sort of cola quality to it.

    Wait, SXNW was rum barreled?

I don't remember that, but I've only had that and the Kill Devil Brown (same brewery), but they were both good. I think Kill Devil is a better example of rum barrel flavor. The cocoa mole thing going on in SXNW was pretty awesome, though.

I'm going to have to agree with the previous posters on Nebco Redrum, best use of and integration of rum barrel flavor into a beer that I've had to date. RareR Dos a close second.

Wait a little bit, it's pretty fantastic if you like rum but it's still boozy. I've got a decent stock in the 'cellar' that (if not traded) I plan on breaking out in 4-6mo intervals. I'd also take it out of the fridge

Rum Huna was pretty damn good, RareR Dos was a close second.

Momi Hiwa by a large margin. Most of them taste fiery...including some of Avery's other items. The coconut in that beer blends with the rum flawlessly, though. It's like drinking a Malibu stout.

If you like sours, Avery's Thensaurum.
    Otherwise, Rumpkin and Momi Hiwa

The only one I believe i've ever had was Avery Momi. And it was amazing. One of the best BA stouts/porters ive ever had.
