Hello all, Moving this post to this forum. Previously posted in Beer Talk. I'm heading to SC this week and would like to know if anyone knows of any good breweries in the charleston area. We will be staying on isle of palms. Also if you know of any good beers that I should be looking to try while I'm there. I love big IPA's and heavy stouts and anything barrel aged. I'm from the Detroit area and would love to try some different stuff while I'm there. Also, anything special in bottles that I should try to bring home that doesn't get distributed to Michigan.

I really enjoyed Frothy Beard, COAST, Westbrook and Holy City this past weekend. There are plenty of great bars and an excellent bottle shop in Charleston Beer Exchange.

Definitely Westbrook. Everything they make is absolutely fantastic. And Coast. I've been lusting for another Bulls Bay Oyster Stout since March.
