Hey all, I'm planning a wedding party/reception end of August and I'd like to pick up a pony keg from one of the many local Seattle breweries. Specifically, I'm looking for something that's good for warm Seattle summer days, and has broad appeal. So, in other words, not looking for real hoppy IPAs. Thinking of pale ale, etc. Considering Stoup's Citra IPA, which is a bit lighter, but hoping others more in the know here can provide some good suggestions. Thanks!
fremont summer ale is your best bet, i'd e-mail them now and make sure they can have a keg available for you. you could also get a keg of manny's or johnny utah from georgetown. it's super easy getting kegs from georgetown. less so with stoup or fremont.
Yeah, probably going with Georgetown, or one of the other larger breweries, is your best bet. However, since I had a couple of each last night, I'll suggest the Key Lime Kolsch and Yankee Drifter Lager from Naked City. Both light, crisp, refreshing, and easily approachable for a wide cross-section of people.
