    Cute? Interesting choice of words.

When you have nothing to back up your opinion you make fun of people. That's quality posting.

I'd go study the list of best IPAs and let me know where Rebel ranks. Not my opinion, but the opinion of many tells you a lot.

I enjoy a Sam Adams every now and then. I have had the rebel, and it isn't a great IPA, IMO, but it is preferred over the Long Hammer and the Harpoon. Hell, I got a good buzz on the Sam Adams Octoberfest the other day. Good beer.

An argument can be made that Rebel IPA fits the bill as an APA instead of an IPA, but regardless, to say it tastes horrible (in my opinion), is egregious...put the same exact recipe in a HF or Tree House growler, release it once a month and make people wait in line for it, and it would bet money people would be singing a different tune. I think the hate for it is not based off taste alone, but rather the SA label. However, it is just beer. Drink and enjoy what you want

Rebel is good - with a very good malt. See my review. It's nowhere near as good as some others, though, notably including key competitor Torpedo. BBC can make it better. I rate it similar to Lagunitas overall, but with different strengths and a glaring weakness. JMHO. BBC's years of dominating exceptional beer with Boston Lager are over, but size does not mean they now brew poor beer. To the contrary, they are as uncompromising - and as tightly controlled by Koch - as in 1985. He just does not understand IPAs well enough. When he sells out to Inbev, worry.

I'm somewhat surprised that either of Deschutes' IPAs is not up there. Is it because of their non-national distribution?

Sales or no sales, Stone and Bell's are worthy of the figures. The quality control from each is beyond reproach, and they remain a solid alternative for me to this day.

Longhammer is on the same level for me as lagunitas daytime. At 4.99 a four pack pints its awesome

I've had all those beers. I truly enjoyed every one. They each were different, but all were good. All beer is good. Some just better than others.

I would (and did) drink any of those except for the Longhammer. And Harpoon is not available in California.

Of course, with options like Union Jack and Sculpin so readily available out here (both on draft and packaged), I don't often have any of the beers on the list.
