Six Point Resin is my new favorite hoppy beer!!!
Dead Reckoning is amazing too( Troegs labels it as a Porter) but to me it is sort of like a black ipa.

Does Peekskill distribute to upstate NY? Rochester area?

As far as I know everything is draft/growlers to go. Haven't seen it bottled. Would be happy to hear otherwise as I've heard good things recently.

I was up at Cornell this summer and drank quite a bit of Flower Power. So damn good. Probably top 5 IPA in country so probably definitely best one in NY.

I second Troegs, this stuff is really good, never mentioned on this site.

For east coaster I also like Hop Devil and Smuttynose Finest Kind.

From Cali you probably get Firestone Walker Union Jack, Bear Republic Racer 5 and Stone IPA. I'd reccomend those, in that order.

I keep 3HB The Kind and Ithaca Flower Power on hand at all times. Others - SN Torpedo, Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale, Stone IPA.

I know you mentioned Black IPAs but Saranac does a White IPA which is one of the most interesting beers, in both taste and appearance, I've had in awhile

I went to the distributor today looking for a nice ipa to have around for a everyday drink, after looking around for bout 15 minutes, i walked out with a case of flower power  After a couple bottles, im pretty sure this is a top 5 ipa ive ever had, not just a great ny brewed beer.

Peekskill is making some awesome hoppy beers. They're currently draft only, although they are opening a new brewery soon that has a 4-head filler for on-site bottle sales. They produce a couple very pungent IPAs. If you're curious, I did an interview / tour with their brewer of the new facility.

I'll second (or third, fourth) Perpetual IPA. Truly a great IPA, especially if your tastes lean towards those that are quite dry and lean on the malt bill. Flower power is great too, but borders on being a double IPA to me.
