I'm planning a quick trip to Vermont for my first Sip of Sunshine run this week and wanted opinions as to the best Sip retailer....i.e. time drop, allotment, minimums, etc. I looked at the 'Sip Spotter' on line but was interested in first hand experiences. Thanks for any help/suggestions
Beer palate in williston gets it on Wednesdays. Last Wednesday around 2 they had a ton left and it was two 4 packs a person at around $14.
A couple of months ago, I did a Tuesday run and grabbed 3 at moretown general store, 2 at crossroads in waterbury, and 1 at cbc in waterbury. Drops at moretown around 10, waterbury after 12. On Thursday, warren store is the place to be by 10, will have sip and any other offerings that week.
There is no pre-determined delivery schedule in CT, though. And store employees have vented here and other places about how they will tell people who call in exclusively for SoS that they don't have it, even if they do.
Every other Monday at Woodstock Hops & Barley at noon. Never had a problem getting a four pack (but it is a four pack limit). You can check their facebook page to see if the Monday your around will coincide with their delivery. Can hit the Worthy Kitchen next door and have lunch and a few beers.
I'm here from out of town and scored a case at Pearl Street Beverage last night at 915 (not sure what time it dropped). They had several cases left at that time and were closing soon
