Kind off the same here. Going into Busch Gardens and smelling the mash first thing in the morning. Good times.

I remember touring Budweiser and the Golden, Co Coors facility as a younger preteen to teen. I actually stayed far away from beer until my early 20s because of that smell and experience. Impressive facility but wow. What a deterrent that place was for me through HS and college. Serious.

My first homebrew batch in 2011. WOW factor. That smell won me over.

I still hear quite a few newbies to beer wondering what that smell is when I'm in a local brewery that is brewing. Some actually find it unpleasant. I find it bliss. maybe its airflow and fumes, but I read reviews online and the place I frequent the most is regarded multiple times as smelling bad. Is the mash and boil smell an acquired thing?

On the other hand, toured the Guinness brewery at St James gate and couldn't wait to get to the top for the free sample!

haha, when I lived in Alaska, Oly was .90 a six pac and coke was $1.20 a six pack. Guess what I drank.

That was pretty special for me as well. My gosh. Even better was picking up my cases afterward. Haha.
