I sure love my flavored and ages stouts, but I am honestly the biggest fan of a straight up stout. I am in search for the best of the bunch.

What is your #1 straight up stout?

Not only is it a great beer, but it puts on a show when you pour it

    Doesn't Breakfast Stout have coffee?

My favorite straight stout is a "porter", Founders Porter. If I have to technically pick a stout, I like Obsidian Stout.

What do you mean by "straight up?" All of the above are either imperial or milk stouts. Do you mean just ones that aren't barrel aged or have coffee/etc. added or standard stouts.

i think breakfast stout would fall under the 'flavored' category since it had chocolate and coffee added.

I just mean ones that do not add anything. No added coffee, chocolate, barrel aged, etc.

An Imperial Stout is still a stout

I'll vote on my own thread for either Plead The 5th or Ten Fidy.

I am trying to get my hands on a Darkness and Zhukov

OP, from the range of answers that you've received so far, I think you may want to define 'straight' stout. I'll jump on the Bell's Kalamazoo (edit) Stout bandwagon.
