best sweet saisons

    I love the dry, crisp, tart saison style that's spreading now, but I (and particularly my wife) also like the sweeter (or at least not tart) style in the manner of Saison Dupont and Fantome and so on. Give me your suggestions - what are your favorites?

    I think you may want to re-ask your question. Something like Dupont is not sweet at all. It might not be acidic/tart, but most (all?) people here would not use the word sweet to describe Dupont.

    you're probably right. I meant "not tart" more than I meant "sweet", exactly.

    Avondale out of Birmingham, Alabama are now bottling their saison I think.

    It is quite sweet.

    Avondale Spring Street Saison is definitely bottled in bombers, though a bit sweet, not cloying in the least. A tasty brew

    Not sure about their distribution, but Funkwerks Saison and Tropic King come to mind.

    That's interesting. I don't think Saison Dupont is sweet at all. Not even a little bit. It isn't tart though if that's what you were getting at.

    I love me a great Saison. But I seriously hate sweet Saisons. I have drained poured a few becuase usually when they are sweet, it over powers the beer. At least for my palate. I do understand we all taste different flavors though. Everyone's palate is different for sure.
