Great minds drink alike. Can't go wrong with anything mentioned already.

Got to add, Deep Ellum Rye Pils and Farmhouse Wit.

Zoe is my current fave. Only picked up a sixer last weekend when in Austin. That was dumb.

We get Hops & Grains in SA, Zoe just hasn't gotten here yet. We are far behind just like with everything else.

I just got a six pack of Zoe, and opened my first can. This is definitely one of my favorite new beers I have had so far this year. I have some Lakewood to try later...

Bottled/canned/etc = Endeavour w/ Temptress in a close second (don't have to have it under 2 weeks old)

Draft = no brainer; Live Oak Hefeweizen. It's damn near perfect.

Now, off to enjoy some of the aforementioned brewskis.

Yea when I heard they were doing a pale lager as their next release a while back I was kind of disappointed...been wanting H&G to release something a little more substantial, but then I tried it. It's hard for me to pinpoint why but it's just good...I can't really explain why I like Zoe so much. I can see myself going through cases of this in the summer...it's just good.

Because for years, even lots of "craft" brewers made crappy lagers to try to get the Macro crowd. Now many more breweries are actually taking time to make good lagers, and I love it.

Not a single Jester King brew mentioned..... As much as everyone talks about them I would have thought they would have shown up here.

Most of the stuff we like from Jester King is limited

I would have also mentioned Freetail... and a few others

Mostly because the really good stuff is either not year round or not easily available, aka it falls outside the context of this thread.

I don't think anything JK has done would make my top five.

I love sours. JK has a few OK saisons, and a bunch of stuff...I just find to be meh. I am well aware I am in the minority:grinning:

Not sure that you are. I support the hell out of JK but I have not been "wowed" in a while. Looking forward to some of the not yet released stuff and anything out of the coolship they now have.
