    Now that the year is past, what is your vote for Thread of the Year?

    My vote goes to a thread from early in the year, "Can beer be too fresh".

    We came full circle from " beer can't possibly be fresh enough" to "well, maybe, a couple weeks in the can ain't bad".

    That thread didn't have the legs of the "kids in bars" and "controversial opinions" threads, but it was my favorite.

    Tough one. I really like "Post a picture of your latest beer haul" because it provides a lot of great information on distribution and is great fun, so this gets my vote.

    Another fun one is the ongoing "Controversial Beer Opinions" thread which I was surprised was never stopped and/or deleted. And of course, WBAYDN and NBS are a key attraction of the site.

    Started in February, over 4K posts and 165K views, some righteous vitriol, some genuine peavishness, and little redeeming value of any kind- gotta be Controversial Opinions

    The Controversial Beer Opinions Thread, hands down. It's good to know that whenever I come up with a sarcastic rant, no matter how tangentially beer-related, I will always have the appropriate place to stick it.

    Yeah, +1 on the controversial beer opinions thread, in agreement. I mean, that way you don't have to "vote" for any single thread, but rather the one that reflects the best of/worst of our internet rage tendencies, like vintage e-potpourri for angry folks.

    The college football BIF thread has been a must read for me. I always leave it slightly unsure as to whether or not the participants are just great friends who are adept at forum trash talk, or actually hate each other.

    Surprised the Trillium thread hasn’t been mentioned yet. Although it was about as much fun as burning your arm, it still had a genuine ripple effect beyond this site.

    It’s gotta be this one.

    Any thread that had articles written about it in the Globe, Paste...etc. and caused one of the major players in the craft industry to drastically alter their pay structure has to be number one.
