Some friends and I pick a city to visit every year and are considering St Louis at some point this winter. We don't have a weekend picked out yet so I figured I'd employ the fine folks of BA for advice. There is plenty of info on what breweries to visit but I'd really like to know if there is a weekend that a heavy hitter typically comes out. We are all big stout drinkers but would also be open to sours. A local beerfest or event would also be awesome. I realize some of you may be wanting to keep the outside numbers down at such a release/even so I'm willing to offer up some Michigan goodies for good insider info. Cheers!
Most heavy hitter stouts are tough to predict far out. If Side Project keeps their schedule for events/releases from last year, there might be the BBT release over Thanksgiving weekend and the brewery anniversary party in December. They've also done Stout Week at the Cellar/Brewery early February.
