Central Waters is killing it. One of the best barrel aged programs in the country, and my favorite Wisconsin Brewer as I drank my way around Milwaukee this summer...

It was an absolutely killer beer, I hope it becomes a yearly release for sure.

For stouts I'd say tall grass big Ricc, almost a boozier fbs to me. Fulton war and peace and thirsty dog Siberian night and the BA Siberian night, and BA Ivan the terrible. For saisons I'm a huge funkwerks fan. And then for locals 515 hoppy beers are absolutely killer, passé gives sue a run for its money as a Citra pale ale. And exiles sours are all really good, been drinking a metric shit ton of their peach berry bohemian.

The BA Barleywine from Sebago is right on par with Sucaba IMO.
Also, Bride Maker from JA is incredible!

In terms of local favorites...River Horse Oatmeal Milk Stout. Sadly their only beer I truly love.

In terms of more widely distributed stuff...most of the Belgian sours not brewed by Cantillon or 3F.

When it ages the coffee tastes like bell peppers and it smells like a trashcan...

Girardin 1882 Black Label. Consistently wins in blind tastings against the big boys, is fairly available, and is reasonably priced.

The first one that pops into my mind is Courage Imperial Russian Stout.

I don't get all the bomb hype. It's ok, but doesn't stand out compared to some beers. I have a very hard time tasting everything they list on their labels. Except the chile additions, I can't tastethose at all.

17 mint chocolate stout by perennial. My beer guy recommended it after I walked by it 20 times with zero intention of buying a mint stout. Popped it open a few days later and loved it. Very thick, chocolatey and minty in a good way.

Yeah, but Founders Imperial Stout and Breakfast Stout are in the top 250 and they're way more available than Backwoods Bastard.

These beers have less than 100 reviews on here, and I found them outstanding:
    Bluegrass Brewing-- Sheltowee Hop-A-Lot IPA
Boak Beverage-- Two Blind Monks Ale
    Furst Wallerstein Brauhaus-- Bavaringer Hefeweisen
Cricket Hill Brewing-- Jersey Summer Breakfast Ale
    Karbach Brewing-- Weisse Versa Wheat

Anything from Rushing Duck. This little brewery in New York consistently puts out top notch beers and is unknown outside of the area.
(but that's ok. We like it that way.)
