While I too cannot taste all of the flavors others do in any beer, to me Jolly Russian is bland compared to Prairie Pirate, so for about the same money I'd personally take Pirate.

I just traded for half a case, stuff is fantastic and the 12oz can is perfect, I may even try to snag some more.

While I don't necessarily taste what others do, I feel when a brewer puts it on their label it better be there. But believe me, when reading some of these reviews I assure you I can't taste the tobacco in SNPA or unicorn tears in BCBS. Lol

Tall grass is a great brewery all around. I have no idea how big Ricc isn't in the top 250.

Crane - best kettle sours on the market
Roughtail - only way I can describe how they utilize hops would be a medium between Toppling Goliath & Tree House.

The pale ales at Brick & Feather in Turners Falls, Mass. (Sadly, growler fills only).

Their motto could be 'not quite as hard to find as Monson or Greensboro.'

Even though I had it two years ago, Clare's Thirsty Ale from Haymarket Pub & Brewery still leaves an impression on me. Sometimes you have a beer and it just sticks with you forever. That was one of them.

This has recently gotten to be well-known in our part of western NY...it gets snatched up whenever it appears, which isn't oftene

My guess this is very heavy to local distribution, so Mectoberfest from Old Mecklenburg is a favorite , as is their Capt Jack Pils, Charlotte area only. Yards Brawler I like too, I'd suppose eastern Pa, and NJ.

I have to add deschutes fresh squeezed, and Odell IPA. I forgot how good those beers were. Also great divide hibernation ale, outstanding old ale, I drink a lot of this every year.
