And moving to our neighborhood soon, couldn't be more excited about that. A bigger brewery and being located in Milwaukee should up the spotlight considerably.

Kane is extremely well known. I'd go with Magnify. Very new, unknown and cool beers.

Blue Pants has been killing it for sure. Their offerings are solid. I vote for Trim Tab or Singin' River as good unknown breweries.

Worthless lists as usual, but I'll play along...

LOL @ Iron Hill for DE

I'm sure "The Unknown Brewing Company" for NC was picked with tongue firmly in cheek for this list.

As for my home state of PA: Helltown Brewing. I don't even know them, but I live near Philly and they are over by P'burgh... when you have to cross Pennsyltucky in the middle they might as well be in different states! I think I would have chosen a small and respected PA brewer with a longer history in PA's craft beer scene, like Sly Fox, Voodoo, or Church Brew Works.

Anyone had that Kentucky Buni beer from Creature Comforts? Didn't find any reviews for it on here.

I know they don't have a huge distribution window, but people outside of VA have heard of Alewerks, right?

The list must have been written on April 1st. Even I have heard of most of these breweries.

So someone starts a thread about unknown this or that. Other people read the thread. So what was once unknown is now known. I just don't get it.

Maryland is stated as Monocacy Brewing. A decent company but very limited lineup of beers so far.

I'd vote for Manor Hill for Maryland.

If they were really unknown, no one would be buying their beer, right?

And if we're splitting hairs, as long as one person knows about something, it's not unknown.
A better term would be 'little known'. Words do make a difference - it would be great if more people paid attention to the words they use.

I do think Transiet is a solid pick for Illinois though. That or Imperial Oak.
