I picked up the cran-lambic by New Glarus in a swap, it arrived as an extra. I've only traded for big items - Westy 12, FW 15 - but need to pull some swaps for six assorted brews by a company I can't get product from in NC. Interesting to see how many folks have posted about New Glarus.

Founders is pretty amazing. They make a ton of world class beers. Just wish we could get them in Delaware.

There are way too many great breweries to pick just one! But I will say DOGFISH!

Agreed. Of the breweries available in my area Founders does the most things the best.

Lagunitas, Russian River, Alpine, Sierra Nevada....I would say Russian River overall.

    1. 3 floyds (honestly at the bottom of all your hearts you know this to be true)
    2. Founders (Close second)
    3. Stone (being overlooked in this thread in my opinion)

If I am picking just one it has to be Founder's.

Free State in Lawrence, KS. Total bias, though. That's the first place I had craft beer. Great atmosphere and black bean quesadillas

Jeez...for everyday, easy-to-find brews I'd go with Sierra Nevada. My favorites are probably Russian River and Founders!

My top three are Deschutes, Lost Abby/Port, and Avery. Doubt many would consider them "the best", but they are breweries I can feel confident in when I pick up a beer from them. What else can you ask for?

Founders does every style and does it at, or near, world class. Bell's is right there too. I'd also put Stone and Lagunitas on the list, depending on the criteria.

This plus Shogo's list does it for me. Certainly if you look at what breweries I actually drink most frequently. Well, except Deschutes, not because they're unworthy but because I've only had two of their beers and so rarely get to drink them (though I did just bring a BBXIII home with me from Colorado).

Too many to pick just one. Mine include- Stone, Founders, DFH, Firestone Walker, The Bruery, Lost Abbey/Port, Ommegang, and many more. Cheers to great craft beer!!

Lost Abbey/Port brewing especially if you consider what the Pizza Port chains have done over the years along.

at this point... there are just too many to compare... but each one has something unique about them.... even if their products suck... something about them continues to fuel the industry... which imo is priceless:grinning:
