Red Peak or Fremont gets my vote. Kind of a toss up.

Elysian gets my vote. Boundary Bay does a great job as well. Fremont and Black Raven will probably get a majority of the votes, and for good reason.

Red Peak was disqualified for me since they don't want me to have their beer.

I understand that, but You can't deny how amazing their use of wild yeasts is though. Especially some of their barrel aged stuff.

Reuben's should definitely be on that list...

How was it that Reuben's Brews was left off this list? They've won multiple medals in the 7 months they've been open and that's competing against the rest of the country, not just in WA... and that is an impressive feat!

    I'll second Reuben's.

Black Raven, Fremont, Sound, and Old Schoolhouse are world-class but they seem to get their share of the love.

I wonder what an "objective" analysis of this question would say. I mean, this site compiles beer ratings -- why not come up with some metric to judge the best brewery, and then look at the numbers?

The tough part is just coming up with a metric that provides adequate weighting to the factors that are important to being "the best" brewery.

My first rough stab at such a metric:
Quality: Say, a weighted average of the following (possibly with a minimum # of ratings threshold):
    - average score of the top 5 beers (overall).
    - average score of the top five beers (by style).
    Consistency:
    - average score of all beers.
    - total number of beer ratings (as a proxy for the brewer's longevity).
    Output/creativity:
    - Total number of beers produced.
    - Number of styles produced.

Not sure how much weight I'd give to each category, but I would be interested in seeing how such an approach would match up against a simple poll.

When something good and rare shows up, I'll go ahead and get specific.
