Hi I'm thinking about getting into trading. What's the best method of shipping beer, ie UPS, FEDex. Also, any advice on wrapping and preventing damage?

Google alewatcher beer shipping. Read the article. It will help you as much or more than anything.

My personal advice. Start small, locals for locals kind of stuff. One trade at a time for at least three or four months. Very tempting to be involved in lots of trades and it catches up with you. Remember, it's just beer.

Look for experienced traders on your initial trades. They can provide valuable experience, insights & support. My early trading partners made it all so smooth & ready. One of em is still providing help & support with navigating a BIF. (A big hello to heystevec, *waves*)

Best advice I have (based on messing up a couple times) is
    1. entire inside lined with two garbage bags in case of spillage
    2. use wine shippers if you can
    3. Pack the bottles solid with something (paper, bubble wrap, whatever) so they don't move at all
    4. If you can't get a wine shipper, use a sturdy box and wrap the helll out of each bottle with bubble wrap or paper
    5. Tape rare bottle caps and growlers with electrical tape
    6. tape entire box on the outside with duct or packing tape. Every opening.
    7. Watch that video for details
    8. Use Fed Ex
