On this we can certainly agree- Had one on draft at the new restaurant at Southwicks Zoo-very fine IPA.

If you ever get the chance, try it on cask...sublime. Same goes for Harpoon IPA (typically with some hop addition dry hopped in the firkin). I've had both at Redbones on a few different occasions.

One thing I've noticed is that many of the 'non-craft' beer bars insist on serving Be Hoppy or whatever one non-INBEV choice they have on the tap lines in a frosted or chilled glass. IMO it drastically changes the beer in a negative way. When I remember, I try to ask for a non-chilled glass.

Although I did experience a proud moment recently when I ordered a Be Hoppy and the waitress brought me another IPA, which I returned as it was not Be Hoppy (she confirmed). There's always the element of doubt that I wonder whether I would survive a blind taste. In fairness, color was probably the immediate giveaway along with the taste.

Separately, I agree that if you like Harpoon, it almost undoubtedly wins in the quality/availability spectrum. I guess I just find it underwhelming rather than bad.

On Ipswich 101, I've always found it to be more malty than I prefer and one of those beers that gets much worse when not fresh. Admittedly, I haven't tried it lately, and will give it another whirl to see if either the beer or my palate has changed it the beer's favor.

For widely available draft Harpoon IPA is my go to.
    Cheers all

Almost any place I frequent at the very least has a Lord Hobo, Night Shift or Wormtown offering. And those are generally some good stuff.

We've been getting more Mystic kegs at bars in VT. I assume it's more prevalent down there. They are cranking out some fabulous IPAs.

Interestingly, I haven't seen a lot of Mystic on tap around me. I'd love to see both them and Idle Hands on tap more.

I'm seeing a bit more Exhibit 'A' on tap, which is awesome. Still nowhere near "widely distributed," but a good step.
