Suntory Malts is a great macro pilsner. And its not available in the states.

Yuengling - but I have to go to a different state to get it. PBR is always in my fridge next to the high ABV'ers. I am too cheap to buy expensive beers all the time.

Yuengling or Corona on a hot day with some spicy food. Or Amstel/Mythos with some nice Med food.

Stella Artois, the wife loves it and I find it is my go to beer with spicy food. We always have a can fridge pack in the house. Don't hate me for it!

I want to try a Schlitz again, been a while. Stroh's, PBR, Coors, and Hamm's.

Can we just get through a shitty beer thread without the Sam Adams apologists reminding us how un-shitty their beer is?

I didn't know Hamms was still around. I use to love it. Unfortunately I just found out they put corn syrup in it, so I'm a little less excited.

Oh yea, it's on sale here (30 packs) at one store or another, probably once a month. It's actually the last adjunct I drank. I'd rather drink a Pabst and last time I had Stroh's, I thought it was just as good. Isn't it nice to be able to drink good beer with good ingredients as the norm, now....and have a Hamms, etc...as a trip down memory lane, occasionally?

    Shiner Bock.

No, it's not really a bock. And no, it's not a great beer by just about any technical measure. And sure, maybe my long-standing affection for it comes from the fact that it's unavailable locally and so I only have it in airports when I'm hungover or headed to a place where I know I will later be hungover. . . .

But god damn is it tasty, and cheap, and just perfectly crushable.

Despite the hipster affection for it, I've long been a believer that PBR is legitimately not a terrible beer. Unlike a lot of the other macro beers it at least tastes like someone, somewhere during the brewing process might have waved a hop over each batch. Which is more than you can say for most American lagers.

The . . . uhh . . . bathroom "stuff" that happens the day after a PBR binge, on the other hand, is not super pleasant.

I found myself in a craft beer bar in the middle-of-nowhere Illinois a couple years ago (utter accident; had no idea it was a craft beer bar; I was just hungry and wanted a burger or wings) that offered $1 Hamm's cans. Not having heard of Hamm's (I'm Canadian--they don't sell it up here), I was curious. The guy at the bar next to me explained that it was an ideal palate cleanser: drink an awesome craft beer, wash it down with a Hamm's to warm up for the next craft beer.

    I tried his strategy.

    It was beautiful.
