Looking to try some new stouts, and looking for some recommendations. Any kind of stout is welcome.

The world is your oyster, OP. Just walk into your favorite bottle shop and start grabbing stouts. IMO this is the best way to try new beers without letting ratings and recommendations cloud your own opinion of the beer.

If you like "lighter stouts" Sierra Nevada is good as well.

Blackhouse Modern times is probably my favorite year round reasonably price especially since you are in California op

For the price, Brooklyn Black Chocolate is a great one.

In northern VA, it's still available and probably will be for most of the summer. While it may not be technically a year-round brew, it's at least an 8-month brew.

    And it ages very well.

That is tragic; I have kept a four-pack stocked in my fridge since it was released. So damn tasty!

Ten Fidy! Like Brooklyn Black Chocolate, it's technically seasonal, but it's still on shelves around here and probably will be for at least a couple months.

That's just ridiculous. Florida must hate RIS.

^^^ True story; I actually used to think Ten FIDY was year-round because I could always find it. I suppose the pricetag turns a few folks off and if they don't know any better they scratch their head in confusion at such a massive stout in a can. Gotta love Oskar Blues!
