Here are the BA ratings for the top beers in Nebraska: http://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/state/ne/ ... #'s 7, 8, and 9 are year-round beers.
Even as a Nebraska native I don't have a go-to year round beer from Nebraska simply because I enjoy trying out of state brews and chasing whales, but I can agree with some of those beers on that list from BA ratings. Usually it's the seasonal beers that stand out to me, for example: Empyrean's Aries Marzen, Fallen Angel Sweet Stout, and their Carpe Brewem Barrel Aged Mochachino Milk Stout. Zipline's New Zealand IPA would be a good year round as well as Nebraska Brewing IPA. Just kind of depends on the style of beer you're after or when you're within the state lines of THE GOOD LIFE
in terms of cans/bottles the only one i buy with any regularity is cardinal pale ale the vast majority of local breweries just do not make what i want to drink these days.
Farnam House is probably my favorite brewery in Nebraska right now, and their Hop Harvest Saison is probably my favorite Nebraska-brewed beer at the moment as well. It is made year round, but they don't package anything. Nebraska Brewing's year round canned stuff is fine. I'm not sure if any of their barrel aged stuff is actually made year round or if it just sits on shelves year round, but some of those are pretty good (I'm a big fan of their Fathead barleywine). Zipline's Kolsch is probably my favorite of their year-round offerings. I've never cared much for NZ IPA. Kinkaider's Dan the Wiser Kolsch is also quite good. Scratchtown's Wonder Twins IPA is really good too, but if it is made year round it's certainly not readily available year-round.
I beg to differ on Kinkaider's Dan The Wiser Kolsch. I thought it was a terrible representation, bordering on a watered down India Pale Ale.
