can anyone recommend a great distributor or 6 pack shop near Bethany beach sea colony? Last year I was stuck with a few six packs of outdated lagunitas. Thanks.
Pretty much a dead zone, but on your way I to town two hit stores on rt. 1 and you wil be set. Atlantic Liquors and Outlet Liquors.
There is a small store right outside there, it's called Beach Liquors Other stores in Rehoboth proper will have way more selection though, but can't beat the convenience if you are staying at Sea Colony
As smakawhat said, Beach liquors is pretty much the only option right in Sea Colony. A better selection can be found at Banks Wines & Spirits in Millville, which is only a 5-7 minute drive down Atlantic Ave from Sea Colony. You will be heading that way anyway to go to any of the supermarkets near Sea Colony so check it out. Both Beach & Banks have growler stations also. I go to Sea Colony every summer and will always stock up before i head down there. If you have time, take a trip to Burley Oak and/or Dogfish Head. Enjoy!!!
Banks will be fine for you. They also have a growler station if that appeals to you. To each his own but it's beach time, I wouldn't drive all the way to Rehoboth JUST for six packs.
i was underwhelmed by Banks, but it will be better than outdated Lagunitas. plenty of DFH, had some Mispillion River (local) and other good if unexciting options
As has already been said, Beach Liqours across the street next to the crabshack is a good spot. You can get growler fills and they have a pretty good selection. When I was there for Memorial Day weekend they had Grassroots (Hill Farmstead) and Grimm which were great choices. Also had some Fantome.
Try R&L Liquors in Lewes. The guy there is pretty cool and bring something to trade as he's always looking to trade.
Was at Sea Colony last week. The beer/liquor store 2 doors down from the CVS was really solid. Enough options for any beer taste. Local MD/DE beer, national stuff, bombers, 750s, and growler station. It's right on Coastal Hwy 30 seconds from the high rise bldgs of SC. I went Mispillion cans all week at the beach. Good stuff for sure.
@Jelavelle - Thanks for the recommendation. Drove up there the other day and spent a lot of time with Tom. A 20 minute visit quickly turned into an hour! Glad I brought some beers with me too. He was more than happy to trade. A must visit for any BA vacationing in the area.
