My wife and I are going down to Bethesda (North Bethesda, I think) for a wedding later this month. Are there any decent places to go for beer and a bite to eat in that area? The best I've found so far is Rock Bottom...
My girlfriend is from Bethesda so I go down there somewhat often to visit her folks. The best beer selection (IMO) is at Mussel Bar. Good amount of taps and a big bottle list. The food is pretty solid. Another option is American Taproom. They usually have a few good options. Never eaten there though. Oh and those places are right next door to each other.
I've driven by this place a few times, but haven't been. Heard it was good though, and the beer selection looks pretty great: http://foodwineandco.com/ Also, Bethesda is only 15-20 mins from DC and there are a bunch of great beer bars here
Thanks a lot, guys! We'll definitely go with one of the ones mentioned here, since we're trying to avoid going into DC as much as possible. I appreciate the help!
North Bethesda...aka Rockville. Chef Geoff's (Rockville) - Only five beers on tap, but they are generally solid. The food is really good too. http://www.chefgeoff.com/menu/chef-geoffs-rockville Founding Farmer's (Potomac/North Bethesda) - Ten beers on tap that are constantly rotating and great food. http://www.wearefoundingfarmers.com/ Freddy's Lobster (Bethesda) - 12 beers on tap and tons of bottle. Food is just okay, Luke's has better lobster rolls. http://www.freddyslobster.com/FREDDYSLC/Beers_on_Tap.html I also second Mussel Bar.
I guess the Psyche Delly closed... http://whoisthemonk.wordpress.com/2...wks-live-at-the-psyche-delly-el-macombo-1977/
