better beer stores than casanova on the border???

    i go over to wisconsin about once a month from minneapolis to grab some good beers that we dont get. are there any places better than casanova within reasonable distance? also, i have been to chicones.

    Not a store, but the occasional trip to Daves Brew Farm for growlers is worth the extra 20 min. Otherwise cannot improve on the Nova.

    If your coming from the Twin Cities Casanova's and Chicone's have the craft beer market by the balls, and they know it. Usually the prices reflect this as well, which is why I try and stock up hard when I'm in La Crosse or Madison. River Falls (if you are willing to drive even further) can have some decent spots with good craft options, but nothing like the two in Hudson. Before I get all pissy and seem ungrateful for these two places I should mention Chicone's has a special on New Glarus running through the New Year - $6.99/6 packs of New Glarus. Stock up while you can.

    Thanks for the info guys. I am headed to medford for a wedding next weekend so hopefully I run into some good bottle shops out that way

    If you care to go as far as Eau Claire, The Coffee Grounds has a nice selection. Just picked up some Ten Fidy and CW BBS there.
