Anyone find Founders Better Half at a weird spot? I found one at Meijer last night. Granted this Meijer gets some decent beers in, but I was surprised nonetheless.

I'm assuming there was only 1 bottle but if there was more than that could you BM me the location of the Meijer? I actually didn't get a single bottle of Better Half, very disappointing.

I havent been able to get my hands on any either. Its flying off the shelves in the Chicago area. The closest i came was at a Binnys but missed the last bottle by 30 mins.

Incredible. Stuff like this doesn't even make the shelves in Indiana.

Found Better Half at my local stores. Nothing strange to report.

I have found it on tap at nearly all the better beer bars in Kalamazoo, bottles did not last long however.

Once in awhile, I roam the beer section at Meijer, hoping to find a case of something awesome. You have renewed my hope.

Got on the list for a random drawing at my favorite shop, didn't get chosen though. Kind of pissed about it but I had Kaiser Curmudgeon about a year ago at Founders for my 21st so I guess I'll live. :sunglasses:

Managed to snag 4 bottles at the brewery release thing on Lincoln's birthday, so I really can't complain. My opinion? It is quite tasty, though not quite "whale" category.

I hear Chicago BAs complaining about beers flying off the shelves regularly but everytime I'm in town I always manage to find some rare (off the shelf) or sought after beers floating around. Juliet, Lolita, Madame Rose, Rare (close to release), Coffee, Vanilla, NB and LA sours, Cantillons, Smokestack Series stuff. I love going to Chicago, I clean up. I must just be lucky.

Yeah, I wasn't around Chicago for the latest batch so I have no clue about it's availability. But I have been able to get a LOT more "rare" off the shelf beers in Chicago than I ever could in Cincinnati. A LOT more Cantillion in Illinois than Ohio. I don't think Chicago BAs realize how good they have it.

I was in Madison and had to prove my "beer cred" to the beer department manager before "the last bottle" magically appeared from the back room.
