Man I wish I had your taste and memory. I could never dream of remember what a beer tasted like 2 years ago compared to a fresh 2015.

Haha I wish I could give exact flavors, but this is just going off general impressions. Of course, it's never exact- taste is subjective, 13 was the first KBS I had, etc etc.- but it's to the best of my memory. It's entirely possible that if I had 13 and 15 side by side, I might rate them similarly. That said, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to recall the taste of something from a couple years back. It's been 3-4 years since I've had duck, but I remember what that tastes like.

I'm confused but apparently you can remember one year though:wink:

The first post was sarcasm because this thread pops up every week. The second was serious.

2015 Dark Lord all the way. I know it's a polarizing brew for many BAs, but 13 was pretty off. 14 was a step in the right direction with the big Dark Matter coffee shift but 2015 is banging! I'd love to know if people agree or disagree. I'm sure they'll let me know either way...

    Cheers!

Gotcha I for one can't tell year from year myself. Heck, same beer within weeks or days tastes different sometimes to me.

KBS and Hi Res were better this year than last year, KBS by far IMO. Those are the two I recall making that comment upon drinking them.

Hop JuJu - They toned the bitterness down a little without adding any sweetness or muting the hops. It was amazing in 2014 but 2015 put it in a class of it's own.

Completely agreed, but it's still not as good as it was 2+ years ago. It really fell off before they started brewing at the new space though.

Both OB's Mama's Lil Yella Pils and Gubna have been reformulated. I think they're both better. The Gubna still isn't my thing with the summit character, but it has additional other hops in there now.
Lil Yella was always listed as a Czech pils and therefore could have a hint of "legit" diacetyl, but that note is almost entirely (if not entirely) gone now. I find it to be much better than before.
