I'm going to Starved Rock tomorrow. Any good places to replace the calories later along that route?

I think Werk Force is kind of on the way.

If you're looking for a good place to eat around Starved Rock though - check out Cajun Connection (https://www.ronscajunconnection.com). Great food, and the jambalaya is especially good. It's cooked until it's pretty much dry in order to get some carmelization, giving it a flavor that's sweet and maybe a little bitter too. Not many places up north cook their jambalaya this way, I think Big Jones does, but that's the only one I've seen around Chicago.

Tangled Roots Brewery in Ottawa isn't bad. It's pretty close for when you get done. The beers are 'good enough', but food is better. Either case, it hit the spot after I left Starved Rock last time I was there.
