Between opening and drinking

I don't open a beer unless I am ready to drink it.

 

I'm with you on enjoying how the tastes develop as it warms....that's the best way to taste so many styles!

 

I drink it right away. I like to think the brewer put the beer in the bottle ready to be drank, but than again I do cellar beer so to each their own I guess,but I'd drink it right away.

 

As soon as my beer is opened, in the glass it goes, ans down the hatch. Even when letting stouts warm, I'll keep the bottled sealed. I've found that even within the 15-or-so minutes it takes for a stout to reach my preferred drinking temperature, there's a difference in taste when it comes to warming in the bottle vs warming in the glass.

 

I typically let all my beers "warm up" a little from fridge temperature. IPAs/sours I let sit usually about 5 minutes or so before drinking. At home, I store and drink my stouts at cellar temperature; however, when I order a stout at a bar, I might let it sit as much as 30 minutes before drinking. In this case, I usually order an IPA at the same time as the stout so I have something to sip on while I wait.

 

When i was young I used to open a beer and leave it on the night stand after a heavy night of drinking and drink it in the morning ( a little hair of the dog ) Broke that habbit real fast when I move to Fla. First time I did it I woke up took a huge swig and choked on a dozen cockroaches , then barfed .

 

I usually drink the beer before I open it; I'm a wizard.

 

Overnight? I'm having such a hard time comprehending this post.

 

I suspect his friend, like a number of other people I know, have a strong, inexplicable aversion to carbonation.
